Postdoc Waitsang Keung is interested in how people make their decisions. Waitsang has made many decisions in her life, such as choosing to come to the University of Arizona to pursue research in cognitive psychology after earning her doctorate in neuroscience at Princeton University in New Jersey.

Waitsang’s research involves a combination of behavioral experiments, computational modeling and analyzing brain imaging data (fMRI) to understand how people integrate information while making decisions. The computational aspect of her research is new to Waitsang, but her UArizona lab has helped her gain the computational skills she needs.

When she is not working on her research, Waitsang practices woodworking. She initially took up this hobby because she enjoys mid-century modern and Chinese style furniture.
