Earn a Postdoctoral Professional Development Certificate by attending workshops designed to enhance your professional skills and prepare you for a successful career. To be awarded a certificate, you must be a University of Arizona postdoctoral scholar and meet the following requirements:

  • Attend ten approved workshops, with at least one workshop from each of the four areas listed below*
  • Complete a short attendance survey within one week of each workshop (find the survey link here)
  • Complete the ten workshops within a two-year period

*Approved workshops are marked with an asterisk (*) on our calendar and are categorized as:

Research and Funding (*RF)

Career Preparation (*CP)

Professional Communication (*PC)

Health and Well-Being (*HW)

Although some workshops may be listed under two categories, a total of ten workshops must be attended to earn the certificate.

Up to two sessions from a single conference can count toward the certificate.

If you would like to suggest a workshop not included on our calendar, please contact us PRIOR to the day of the workshop by emailing Jenny Hoit (hoit@arizona.edu).
