Quick Tips for Teaching (External Event)

When

11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Feb. 23, 2026

Where

This event is held by the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL).

Teaching can seem like a mysterious juggling act, especially when we first enter the field. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore practical tips from the research literature, their own teaching experience, and other instructors. During the session, the facilitators will ask participants to vote on a list of possible topics, with the most popular topics forming the core of the workshop. Possibilities include: what to do when you don’t know the answer; how to shape an inclusive course climate; using formative and summative feedback; building a flexible lesson plan; ways to stay organized as an instructor; and more.

Registration opens on February 9 at 9 am.

This event counts toward the Postdoctoral Professional Development Certificate (*CP)
