Postdoctoral Affairs held its first ever Postdoc Speedtalk Competition. At this online event, postdocs gave 3-minute talks that targeted a diverse and nonspecialist audience. A team of judges chose three winners who were awarded $2000 (first place), $1000 (second) and $500 (third) and a plaque.

The Mellon-Fronteridades Creative Scholars program provides funding for postdoctoral scholars passionate about enriching understanding of the US-Mexico borderlands through scholarly projects. Applications are due April 1st, 2020. Awards will be granted to three creative scholars completing a research-based or scholarly project from August 2020 to April 2021.
