Dr. Sefiu Adewuyi is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Mining Geological Engineering, University of Arizona, USA. He obtained a PhD degree in Mining Engineering from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, in 2022. Before his PhD, he bagged a BS and MS in Physics (with specialization in geophysics) from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta and University of Ibadan, respectively. Dr Adewuyi has a flair for conducting innovative and impactful research, which has been his research philosophy over the years. He was a fellow of the Center for Integration of Research Teaching and Learning (CIRTL), University of Arizona. His main research areas include comminution energy, mineral processing, tailing management, exploration geophysics, rock mechanics, and mineral characterization. He is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the Society for Mining Metallurgy & Exploration (SME).
Danny Jackson, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. In Dr. Sabrina McNew’s lab, he investigates how introduced parasites drive evolutionary changes in Darwin’s finches. He actively mentors graduate and undergraduate students, providing training in avian fieldwork techniques, as well as genomic, geospatial, and quantitative bioinformatics. His broader research explores the impact of human activities on wildlife evolution.
