Celebrating the 2021 Arizona Postdoctoral Research Conference

The third annual Arizona Postdoctoral Research Conference took place on September 24th at the Virginia G. Piper Auditorium in Phoenix during National Postdoc Appreciation Week. This collaborative event between the University of Arizona and Arizona State University brought together talented postdoctoral scholars from the two universities as well as the Mayo Clinic to showcase their exciting research projects in the areas of Life Sciences, Medicine and Healthcare, Engineering, Technology, among others. The keynote speaker this year was Dr. Michael Johnson, Assistant Professor of Immunology at the UArizona, who shared his own inspirational story of how he came to be a scientist and a call to action to support young scientists from all walks of life. During the conference, postdocs presented posters and research talks, shared insights about their fields, exchanged ideas, and took part in invaluable networking opportunities. With more than 40 attendees, the Arizona Postdoctoral Research Conference was a great success!
