Help Yourself: Pathways to Permanent Residence for Foreign National Postdocs in the United States (NPA Event)

This webinar will provide foreign national postdoctoral researchers with a practical overview of self-petition pathways to permanent residence in the United States. The discussion will focus on green card categories that do not require employer sponsorship, including the EB-2 National Interest Waiver and EB-1A Extraordinary Ability classification. Attendees will learn how research accomplishments, publications, citations, peer review activity, awards, grants, and broader field impact may support a self-petition, as well as key considerations for building a strong permanent residence case with strategies and timelines based on the current landscape. There will also be discussion about employer sponsored options and how these pathways differ in terms of the administrative process and procedures versus the self-petition pathways.
