Piper Auditorium in Phoenix during National Postdoc Appreciation Week. This collaborative event between the University of Arizona and Arizona State University brought together talented postdoctoral scholars from the two universities as well as the Mayo Clinic to showcase their exciting research projects in the areas of Life Sciences, Medicine and Healthcare, Engineering, Technology, among others. Meet Dr. Duron! Oct. 11, 2021 Dr. Christina Duron is a postdoctoral researcher and instructor in the Department of Mathematics. Duron has collaborated with fellow postdocs, PhD students, and faculty throughout her three years at UArizona. Although her more recent work involves diagnosing burn-in for Markov Chains, Duron finds immense joy interacting with students in the classroom. Duron is currently applying for tenure-track jobs at liberal arts institutions, but she knows she is going to miss the atmosphere at UArizona and around downtown Tucson. Read more Image

Arizona Postdoctoral Research Conference: Submit your Abstracts now! July 22, 2021 This third annual Arizona Postdoctoral Research Conference will be held in person this year on September 24 in Phoenix, AZ. The theme of the conference is “Potential for all research to promote equity and inclusion,” and it will feature a keynote lecture from Dr. Michael Johnson, UArizona Professor. The conference will include oral research presentations and a poster session. Postdocs from any Arizona research institution are encouraged to submit an abstract.
