The Graduate Center at the UArizona can support your career development. The Graduate Center Career Services offer support in:

  • researching and identifying diverse careers
  • developing effective job search strategies
  • creating professional connections and developing your LinkedIn profile
  • reviewing job application materials such as CVs, resumes, statements, and cover letters
  • preparing for interviews, including mock interviews
  • negotiating your best offer

Dr. Shawn Nordell is the Associate Director of Graduate Career Services and Assistant Professor of Practice. An alum of the University of Arizona, Dr. Nordell has years of experience helping graduate students and postdocs with job searches and applications, particularly with self-assessment, career exploration, networking, and translating transferable skills.
